Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako-Attah said a 1.5km dual carriageway will be constructed as well as a 750 metre drainage system to reduce perennial flooding in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency. He said the roads will have asphaltic concrete surface, with pedestrian walkways and streetlights to ensure visibility at night. Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement, Sarah Adwoa Safo said government is committed to improving the living conditions of the people of Dome-Kwabenya since the constituency is one of the governing party’s largest strongholds. The Ministry of Roads and Highways through the Ghana Highway Authority subjected the project to competitive bidding by Ghanaian contractors after which a local contractor was selected.
