Dayo OjerindeA professor of English at the Lagos State University, Ojo, Adeleke Fakoya, has challenged teachers to adopt creative teaching methods. Fakoya, at the opening ceremony of a 10-day virtual training for teachers of English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Lagos, encouraged teachers to learn more from the Internet. He said, “There are several things involved in teaching; teachers must be knowledgeable about content and delivery. A lot of teachers have the content, meaning they know the subject, but their delivery is poor. They appear in class and talk at their students, instead of talking to their students.”The training was organised by the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission.
