When asked, a driver of an excavator --which was being used to cut the hill-- Md Mamun said he has nothing to do with it, as he was only employed by the Jubo League leader. He said: “I was brought here to cut the hill for money. However, disregarding the rules razing hills has become a regular thing for the influentials in Bandarban.
