Sony Music has taken notice, offering her a hefty CAD $170 million contract, poaching her from XL, the independent British label she signed to at 19 years old. Once it officially goes through, and if it is paid in full, it will make for the biggest record deal in history. At the top of her game, Adele has been breaking records left and right this year with the release of her third album, 25. On this past Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, she took home five awards for the album, including Top Artist, and also released her new video for “Send My Love,” which is something Sony sure did. The deal has been in negotiations for the last few years with her manager, Jonathan Dicken.
