An extra carriage on the busiest Wellington-Masterton train service will make room for another 64 people. Public transport operator Metlink announced on Tuesday the 4.25pm service from Wellington Railway Station would gain an extra carriage from this week. Metlink rail operations manager Angus Gabara said the extra carriage would help to address overcrowding on the service. "The additional carriage will provide an additional 64 seats on what is our busiest train on the Wairarapa line, and will give more seating options for our Wairarapa customers."
