According to manufacturers, retailers and patients, patients with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder have trouble filling prescriptions for Adderall and generic versions of the drug. Doctors can prescribe ADHD drugs with a telehealth appointment, making it easier for patients to get prescriptions. A survey of 360 community pharmacies, conducted from July 25 to August 5, found that 64% of pharmacies had trouble getting Adderall, according to the National Community Pharmacists Association. Peyton Miller of Orlando Fla. has been having trouble filling her monthly Adderall prescription since June. There are signs that deliveries for Adderall and generic versions of the drug will improve in the coming weeks, said Dr. Fox.
