U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took to Twitter late Thursday to call out a Cook County prosecutor who commented on the Adam Toledo shooting-death case in Chicago. The prosecutor had said in court earlier this month that Toledo, the 13-year-old fatally shot by a Chicago police officer, had a gun in his hand at the time he was killed. The comment was made during a bond hearing for Ruben Roman, a 21-year-old who authorities say was with Toledo when police responded. Ocasio-Cortez's tweet followed a statement from the Cook County State’s Attorney office that said the prosecutor "failed to fully inform himself before speaking in court. Stillman’s footage shows him shining a light on a handgun on the ground near Toledo after shooting the boy.
