NBA Commissioner Adam Silver spent Saturday night with Ted Leonsis, majority owner of the Wizards, while taking in the inaugural game of the G-League’s Capital City Go-Go. Ahead of the game, Silver was asked if the league has any concerns about teams spending into the red without coming close to contending for championships. “But we do not have an individual team hard cap and so, with a soft cap system I do get concerned when teams spend themselves into unprofitability,” Silver continued. Next season, Wall will be 29 years old when his Designated Veteran Extension kicks in (four years, $170 million).
