ACTON — Police say they are investigating after a woman told them a man tried to abduct her and force her into a vehicle on Saturday night. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 39-year-old woman who stated that a man tried to abduct her while she was walking on Great Road (Rte. The woman told police that earlier that evening she was walking on Great Road when she stumbled over a rock or depression in the sidewalk. She said a man pulled up beside her, got out of his vehicle, and asked if she needed assistance. The vehicle the man was driving is described as an older dark-colored Toyota Corolla with out-of-state plates that were blue or orange.
