More than 500 demonstrators from several conservation groups gathered at the department's headquarters for what they termed as seeking justice for Seedor Hu Pub. The male elephant, aged 15 to 20, was pronounced dead on Feb 3 during a DNP relocation operation from Khon Kaen's Si Chomphu district to the Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary in Loei. The DNP has carried out about 30 relocation operations in response to court orders.
