Accused in Boris Brott death had manic episodes that led to erratic driving: psychiatrist

The man accused in the hit-and-run death of Boris Brott had recurrent manic episodes that at times manifested as erratic driving, a Hamilton court heard Friday. Then, in August 2019, Lojovic was again admitted after suffering manic symptoms and throwing a coke can at his mother, Webb testified. Court previously heard Lojovic pleaded guilty to dangerous driving in connection to the incident in October 2020. On Thursday, Lojovic testified he felt “a lot of inner restlessness” in the days leading up to the fatal collision. Court heard Webb hasn’t seen Lojovic since November 2021, when he discharged him as a patient.
