John BoaduASPIRING GENERAL Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has received an overwhelming endorsement from the Greater Accra Regional delegates of the party. NPP’s Members of Parliament (MPs), Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the region believe Mr. Boadu is fit enough to become the substantive General Secretary of the party. “The NPP already has a competent General Secretary in you,” the delegates told Mr. Boadu during his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region. Again, the delegates asserted that John Boadu had been a very competent Acting General Secretary of the party in two years; hence there was absolutely no reason to change him. According to them, their task in Koforidua on July 7, will be to do away with the word, “Acting” attached to his position, thereby making him the party’s substantive General Secretary.
