Huw moved to Dundee in 1961 and spent the rest of his working life there and it was where he also got married, and brought up his family. OTHER NEWS:Later he served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Head of the Department of Geography at the University of Dundee. He took great interest in the university’s cricket team, captaining it for many years, and was also avidly devoted to football and rugby, supporting Dundee United and Wales respectively. Huw died peacefully at home with his family in London, in whose care he had spent the last few months. A service of remembrance will be held in Broughty Ferry and details of this will be announced in due course.
