ODM deputy leader Wycliffe Oparanya has urged Paul Otuoma to accept a repeat of nominations in Busia constituencies where results were disputed. Oparanya, who is Kakamega Governor, admitted there were irregularities in Teso South and Teso North but said they were not unique. He said Otuoma should agree to a repeat as directed by the National Elections Board "unless he has other options". Obado was fined Sh2 million and Ongoro Sh1 million over violence at party functions. He advised aggrieved losers in the ongoing primaries to follow legal procedures for solutions to the issues they raise.
