Absentee ballots available to Gilford voters


A spouse, parent, sibling, or child also may turn in the absentee ballot at the polls on election day, March 13. Those in the armed forces also may vote by absentee ballot. To receive an absentee ballot, a voter must request an application form from the secretary of state or any town or city clerk, according to RSA 657:6. The voter also may apply by sending a written statement containing the information on why the absentee ballot is needed. Absentee ballots will be retained by the town clerk until election day.
