When the matter was called, only the second defendant, Mr Ade Adelakun, was in court. Counsel to Otunla, Mr Ahmed Raji (SAN), told the court that his client was on a medical trip abroad and could not attend proceedings. The judge, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, adjourned the matter until Feb. 27 for arraignment. The anti-graft agency alleged that the defendants withdrew the money from ONSA account purportedly for the supply of security equipment. The agency further alleged that the fund formed part of the proceeds of an unlawful activity of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
