The Canadiens played a brilliant opening 10 minutes in Columbus Thursday night. The Three Cs Wildcard race – Columbus, Carolina and the Canadiens – is still tight. I’m watching Denis Gauthier on L’Antichambre describe the game in Columbus as pitting “a good small team that skates against a good big team that skates.”No argument. The bigger, tougher team won the game. They were solid hits that produced mistakes, and Columbus was adept at turning Canadiens’ mistakes – like a dreadfully bad line change in the second period – into goals.
