(Courtesy of Dominion Power)About 4,700 Dominion Power customers in Northern Virginia are without power Friday morning after some heavy rains and winds swept through some pockets of the D.C. region. Pepco, another major power company in the region, had relatively minor power outages. Parts of the region saw heavy rain and lightning Thursday evening. About 1,100 of the customers are in the Fairfax area, another 1,600 are in Fauquier, and another 800 are in Loudoun counties.
