By September 2025 the total number of reported mpox cases had risen to 933, with 13 deaths, DDC figures showed. She gave no current total, only "almost 1,000 cases". The five provinces with the highest number of confirmed monkeypox cases are:Bangkok: 458 cases (454 males and four females)Chon Buri: 85 cases (84 males and one female)Nonthaburi: 50 cases (49males and one female)Phuket: 35 cases (28 males and seven females)Samut Prakan: 32 cases (30 males and two females)The DDC had been instructed to strictly surveil and screen people for infection in areas where cases were reported, Ms Airin said.
