THE DISTRIBUTOR of DreamWorks' animated movie “Abominable” has announced that the highly-anticipated yarn about a magical Yeti will not be shown in Malaysia. A United International Pictures Malaysia (UIP Malaysia) spokesperson told SAYS that the movie has been cancelled nationwide. A screenshot of the controversial map, which found its way to Twitter, shows the 'nine-dash line' encompassing a large chunk of the South China Sea. The map appears on the wall of a room in a brief scene in “Abominable”. Before UIP Malaysia cancelled the movie, Malaysia's Film Censorship Board only decided to cut the scene depicting the map, reported Reuters.
