Okudjeto Ablakwa speaking at the FestivalThe Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has praised President Akufo-Addo for not abandoning projects started by the erstwhile Mahama administration in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region. “Government is continuing all outstanding projects in North Tongu, unlike other areas which have been complaining about abandoned projects or stalled projects. He, therefore, expressed his profound appreciation to government for continuously working on all outstanding projects in the constituency. The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Maxwell Blagodzi, who spoke on behalf of the Volta Regional Minister, gave the assurance that the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) and government are committed to transforming North Tongu. BackgroundAfenorto Festival has been celebrated annually in August by the chiefs and people of the Mepe Traditional Area since 1955.
