"It will be my greatest honour to be the flag bearer of the Indian contingent participating in the Olympic Games. I hereby give my formal consent," Bindra said in his acceptance letter sent to IOA secretary general Rajeev Mehta. The usually reserved shooter achieved the feat when he clinched a historic gold in 10-metre air rifle event at the Beijing Games in 2008.The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) expressed its delight at the development.
