Celtic have approached the Scottish Professional Football League to question whether the correct process was followed over the postponement of their game at Aberdeen. The Scottish Premiership game, which has been rescheduled for 4 March, was called off at 16:20 GMT on Wednesday - fewer than four hours before kick-off. Aberdeen contacted the SPFL at about 13:30 to request a pitch inspection amid concern over a waterlogged goalmouth at the Merkland Stand end of Pittodrie. "We have raised the matter with the SPFL, to understand whether the SPFL pitch inspection protocol was followed correctly. The postponement followed heavy rainfall after a period of heavy snow in the area, and persistent showers are expected until Saturday's Scottish Cup tie against Motherwell at Pittodrie.
