Peter Dada, AkureThe Ondo State Police Command, on Monday, confirmed the release of a commercial driver, Mr Felix Akinde, by his abductors. The hoodlums demanded N5m ransom for his release but the amount was later reduced to N2m after negotiation. It was gathered that the victim was set free on Saturday after an undisclosed amount was paid to his abductors as ransom. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Femi Joseph, confirmed the development but said the command was not aware that any ransom was paid. He added that the command had not got the details of how the victim was set free as of the time of speaking to our correspondent.
