The DCII seized the luxury car worth about Tk3 crore, including tax, according to Customs Intelligence. A letter, found inside the car, reads: “Showing respect to law, I surrendered the car to the Custome Intelligence Department. I want to set an example by doing this so that other people also do the same inspired by this incident.”He also hailed the DCII’s ongoing drive against illegal vehicles. The car is an SLK 230 model two-door red Mercedes Benz of 2300 cc manufactured in 2002.
