Abahani decided to field after winning the toss and Shinepukur lost three top order batsman for 40 runs thanks to some excellent bowling from Rubel Hossain. Towhid Hridoy and captain Afif Hossain then formed a partnership of 81 runs before Afif lost his wicket after scoring 48 runs. Towhid was the next to depart having scored 39 and that put Abahani on top yet again with the score at 129/5. A few more wickets fell to give the Abahani chase a few jitters but then Sabbir Rahman and Munim Shahriar saw the chase through and guided Abahahi to a win by five wickets and nine deliveries to spare.
