Albert Pujols of the Angels watches his grand slam, his 600th homer in the majors, sail out of the park on Saturday night. Babe Ruth was alone in that room for 38 years, then Ruth, Hank Aaron and Willie Mays had it to themselves for another 31. At 37 years old, the Los Angeles Angels designated hitter became the fourth-youngest member of the club, behind only Ruth, Alex Rodriguez and Aaron. And let’s remember Pujols isn’t finished yet; his Angels deal runs through 2021, at which point he will be 41. Though Aaron hit another 116 homers beginning with his age-38 season, Mays hit only 73, Thome only 71, Rodriguez only 42, Sosa only 21 and Ramirez only nine.
