NEW DELHI: For all those who have changed their address but don't have any documentary address proof, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has now made it easier to change Aadhaar card address online. Under a new facility to update address online, the UIDAI has allowed Aadhaar holders to use their address for updating address of their family members with the help of an address validation letter. Aadhaar address can be updated with the consent of an address verifier, who can be a family member, relative, friend or landlord, willing to let you use their address as proof. After you request for generation of Aadhaar validation letter on UIDAI website, the address verifier will get an SMS with link to give consent for the update. After that, you need to get the secret code from your address verifier and go to Aadhaar website and click on 'Proceed to Update Address' link.
