Nike PopoolaAXA Mansard Insurance Plc said its gross written premium in its unaudited financial report 2020 rose by 21 per cent to N21.08bn as of March 2020 from N17.42bn in the same period of 2019. A statement from the firm said the company’s net premium income grew by 39 per cent to N8.25bn from N5.95bn reported in March 2019. While profit before tax recorded 96 per cent increase to N2.01bn in 2020 from N1.02bn recorded in March 2019, the profit after tax moved up by 105 per cent to N1.82bn in 2020. “The profitability recorded during the first quarter also cut across P and C, life and health portfolios. “This will continue to be our focus as we navigate through the challenges brought on by the pandemic.”Copyright PUNCH.
