MANILA, Philippines — A police officer who has been absent without leave for three years was shot dead Sunday afternoon at Barangay Paang Bundok in Quezon City. The La Loma Police Station identified the victim as Arthur Cordero, a resident of 1487 Quirino St., Tondo, Manila. ADVERTISEMENTAuthorities noted that Cordero, a rank of police officer 2, has AWOL from the Manila Police District since 2015. The back rider pulled out a still unknown firearm and fired several times at Cordero, who was then standing in front of a lechon store.
