Students at the Science Summer School will take part in a five week residential programming featuring math and physics classes, mentorship from experts and learning with like-minded peers, AUW said in a statement. The lessons will be taught by visiting professors from Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and AUW faculty members. Each year as many as 80 secondary school students will be invited to participate in the school. The programme will help students “hit the ground running as a math or physics scholar at the university level”, it said. The Asian University for Women was founded in 2008 in Bangladesh’s Chattogram and is dedicated to women’s education and leadership development.
