Chairman of the African Union Commission (AUC), Moussa Faki has expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in Libya and the continued suffering of the Libyan people. In a statement, Faki affirmed the AU's unwavering commitment to a comprehensive political solution in which all political and social actors play a pivotal role, explaining that the military escalation in the country will further complicate the situation. He also called on the international community to integrate their efforts with Africa, with a view to rapidly resolving the sensitive issue in Libya. "The situation in Libya has drastic consequences in all respects for the country, the region, and the continent as a whole," The AUC head explained.
