It was reported to police that two female siblings, a 19-year-old young adult and a pre-teen girl, were inside the home alone and involved in a dispute. While inside the home, a confrontation occurred between members and the 19-year-old female. One of the officers subsequently discharged their firearm striking the adult female. No EPS members were physically injured during this event. A 46.1 notification has since been provided to the Alberta Director of Law Enforcement, who has directed ASIRT to conduct an investigation into this OIS incident.
