The leaders also encouraged the bloc’s dialogue partners and invite external parties to support the ASEAN Cultural Year 2019. They likewise backed the operation of the ASEAN Cultural Center in Bangkok, an interactive learning center on ASEAN culture, to promote dialogue and cooperation with similar centers in the region and dialogue partners. The group seeks to promote cooperation on economic development, social progress, regional peace and stability, among others.
