Ranjit Borthakur Guwahati, Dec. 3: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) today announced a zero tolerance policy against corruption in its desperate bid to regain public faith. We in the APSC are, however, determined to make concerted and sustained efforts to redeem the past glory of the commission," APSC chairman (in-charge) Ranjit Borthakur said. Suspended APSC chairman Rakesh Kumar Paul was arrested last month for his alleged involvement in a cash-for-jobs scam and the state government subsequently removed him from the top post. "We humbly admit that all was not well in the APSC in the recent past and thus have initiated corrective measures. Borthakur today said such acts of Paul was in complete violation of the standard operative procedures of the APSC.
