The statement by APC’s spokesman, Yekini Nabena is a reaction to PDP’s vows to “dismantle” an alleged election rigging system used by the ruling party. “The PDP on Tuesday vowed to deploy all means, schemes, shenanigans in all ramification and magnitude to rig all coming elections, starting from the Osun governorship election,” said Nabena. However, the statement released by PDP on Tuesday stated that they will ‘discomfit’ APC ‘in all coming elections in the country’ following claims ‘that the APC is only interested in rigging elections brazenly‘. The ruling party, however, expressed confidence that the people of Osun would resist the PDP’s deployment to take-over the state by force. The Osun governorship election is slated for Sept. 22.
