In a cursory assessment of the state of the nation, after the birth of the Fourth Republic in 1999, the Lagos chapter of ANRP flayed the present and previous managers of the democratic system, saying the Nigerians have not really benefited the dividends of democracy in the last 19 years. He said, “ANRP is ready to provide good leadership for the country if elected into power both at the centre and states in 2019.”The party also expressed commitment to change Nigeria, Lagos precisely, to an enabling environment for growth and development, free of dirt and one habitable for both young and old. The party added it would turn Lagos into an environment free of burglary, theft and it likes, which it intends to achieve with free environmental orientations and education, tree planting, recycling processes, cleanups and environmental sanitation which the party shall sponsor from time to time. Part of the aims and objectives of the party is to run an inclusive government, especially a gender balance type. It also pledged women and youth participation in politics as part of its utmost concern.Some of the officers elected include, Vice Chairman, Olalekan Oshodi; General Secretary, Francis Chilaka; State Publicity Secretary, Yetunde T. Adekunle and others.The 22-member executive comprises of 18 males and four females.
