The ANC in the Western Cape made a final appeal to voters to put an end to the DA's 15-year rule in the province, claiming there had been "persistent service delivery failures". The ANC previously ruled the province before the DA took over in 2009. The ANC's Cameron Dugmore said in a media briefing on Friday that the "majority" of lives had worsened in that time.
