The political leader of the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander B. Cummings who is currently in Lofa County to observe the by-election on Friday received a rousing welcome followed by a massive supporters of the ANC trooping in the County. According to a dispatch from the County, the parade publicly demonstrated the popularity of the ANC political leader and also his numerous philanthropic projects Mr. Cummings has done in the area over the year. At a well attended citizens’ called meeting which was held at the City Hall in Foya, the citizens in their number complained how they felt largely ignored by the incumbent government, a situation the told the ANC political leader as very unbearable. The foundation has invested nearly $1M USD into health, education, entrepreneurship, the arts, women and youth empowerment and infrastructure projects in Liberia. Mr. Cummings is deeply committed to eradicating corruption in Liberia, building Liberia’s capacity, and ensuring the prosperous future of the people and nation of Liberia.
