ANC NEC Meeting – On Monday, the African National Congress (ANC) National Working Committee (NEC) members met. The subject of the failed motion of no confidence in President Zuma reportedly topped their agenda. After deliberating on the fate ANC MPs who voted with the opposition, the ANC NEC arrived at these conclusions:The ANC won’t try to expose its lawmakers who voted in favour of the motionANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe disclosed this to reporters at the end of the meeting. He affirmed that since the ruling party does not know “who voted what way,” it won’t be necessary witch-hunting the ANC MPs that voted with the Democratic Alliance (DA). He labelled the errant MPs “enemies” of the ANC, adding that a true ANC member can never vote against his party.
