At Gatwick, staff are voting on whether or not to strike over what Unite claims are ‘poverty pay rates’. For the greed of airport bosses and of the private equity and foreign owners of UK airports is a major factor. Many bosses receive controversial financial packages and airport owners are ruthlessly ramping up profits.
