Shahadat Hossain was arrested on November 7 while Abul Hashem was arrested on October 22. Apart from the city chapter president and secretary, 16 more leaders of the Chittagong city BNP are now behind bars, said the party insiders. The incarcerated BNP men are still being shown arrested in different cases,” said Abu Sufian, president (Acting) of Chittagong city BNP. According police sources, Shahadat Hossain was made accused in 11 cases from October 21 till November 3. Likewise, BNP city secretary Abul Hashem has been made accused in more than a dozen of cases.
