Sources in Sylhet told Dhaka Tribune that, Kamran, also a former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation, returned home from London on March 15. The health department earlier advised all who returned home from abroad to stay in the home quarantine for 14 days in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic. However, it was noticed that Kamran attended a program with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi 32 in Dhaka following his returning home. Responding to Dhaka Tribune, Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran claimed he was not informed properly about 14-days quarantine period. They never told me to stay home for 14 days as a part of home quarantine.
