Two people were killed and at least eight others injured in a clash between two groups of ruling Awami League in Raipura, Narsingdi on Monday. On Monday afternoon, this enmity culminated in a showdown at Banshgari village among the followers of the two leaders using firearms and other locally-made weapons. Two among the injured – Jaynal Mian, 21, the son of Johir Mian from Banshgari village, and Arosh Ali, 23, the son of Sukkur Ali of the same village – were taken to Narsingdi District Hospital and Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead. On April 19, Sharfin Mian, 18, had died in a clash that took place at the same village.
