Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, supports all Arab efforts aimed at defending the Palestinian cause and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, said Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house), Habib El Malki, in Amman. Taking the floor at the 29th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), El Malki stressed the need to address the challenges facing the Arab nation, noting that Arab solidarity, cooperation, dialogue and coordination are much needed to defend the Palestinian people. On the sidelines of the AIPU conference, El Malki met on Monday with Jordanian Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz. El Malki commended during the meeting Jordan’s steadfast position on the issue of Morocco’s territorial integrity. For his part, Razzaz expressed his country’s desire to take advantage of Morocco’s rich experience in the areas of democratic practices, freedoms, rights and socio-economic development.
