AIDS Walk in Winnipeg aims to raise awareness, end stigma

Winnipeggers will take to downtown streets Saturday afternoon hoping to raise support and awareness for those living with HIV/AIDS. The annual AIDS Walk Winnipeg sets forth from Central Park on Cumberland Avenue at around 2:30 p.m., following speeches, stretching and games aimed at teaching sexual health. "We want people living with HIV to not have to worry about being discriminated against because of a health condition. We want people who don't know their HIV status to get tested without fear of the result," said Payne. And do they know the things that put you at risk," said Payne.
