NEW DELHI: The Rajya Sabha on Monday witnessed dramatic scenes as AIADMK member Sasikala Pushpa alleged that there was a threat to her life. In January, Jayalalithaa had removed Pushpa as the AIADMK's women's wing secretary, a key post. "There is a threat to my life. She had alleged that Siva was making uncharitable remarks about the AIADMK and its cadre and that she could not tolerate this.Pushpa had later apologized to Siva for the incident.Pushpa had been elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2014. Minutes after her assertion, the AIADMK announced that she was expelled from the party for 'bringing a bad name' to the party by slapping DMK MP Tiruchi Siva Sasikala Pushpa was permitted to speak in the Rajya Sabha by Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien after she raised the issue in the well of the House.
