Warren PykeKalev Crossland’s thorough and impressive review of AI technology in the legal workplace is deserving of some broader context. The consequences of AI rapidly spreading through public and private institutions worldwide has not been thought through. Both the profession and public institutions everywhere ought to proceed cautiously before embracing this new technology. AI must be a tool, not a substitute for human thought, communication or collective decision making.
