But the enigmatic Instagram it-girl is in fact the simulacrum of Silicon Valley start-up Brud. When questioned about her favourite social media platform, she said: “Instagram is everything - it’s all visual, which I think speaks to our culture. “I’ve always been visual so whether it’s fashion or film/photography or a funny meme, Instagram can capture that, plus you can share with your friends in such a personal way.”
