AHEAD OF THE GAME: Sean Dyche's switch from Burnley to Crystal Palace hits hitch over £20m bill

Dyche’s contract at Burnley included a £3m survival bonus for keeping the club in the Premier League and he would expect the same deal at Palace, which would take the potential cost of a three-year contract at Selhurst Park above £20m. The vacancy for a Championship representative on the Board has been created by the departure from Bristol City of chief executive Mark Ashton. The Premier League have quickly turned their attentions to negotiating the next round of overseas television contracts having extended their domestic deal by another three years earlier this month. If they reach the quarter-finals, England’s tie will definitely be on the continent before a possible return to Wembley for the semi-finals and final. The BBC insist they will review their plans later in the tournament in the light of changing quarantine restrictions and the Government’s travel advice.
